listen to corbett report on @RBNlive weeknights at midnight from corbett report: If the last three years have taught us anything, it is that the so-called anti-war liberal left can be made to become cheerleaders for the same war agenda that they pretended to deride during the Bush Administration. How was this accomplished? A developing doctrine of international law called “Responsibility to Protect.” Join us this week as we expose the liberal “war is peace” agenda and ponder how best to disarm it.
from washington post: President Obama’s decision to launch his 2012 reelection campaign Monday is about much more than money. It is an acknowledgment by the president’s team that the grass-roots army that helped propel Obama to the White House needs repair and rejuvenation.
That corps of volunteers defined the character and personality of Obama’s first run for the White House. It was in many ways an organic movement, which sprang to life in 2007 and gathered momentum through the course of the campaign. Since then it has atrophied.
Obama advisers know his reelection will depend on many things, some of which are out of their control. What they also know is that a victory will rely in part on their ability to reenergize those volunteers, to stitch together the unusual coalition of African Americans, Latinos, young people, women and college-educated white voters who backed Obama in 2008. That is within their control.
The desire to start raising money early should not be underestimated. Obama was extraordinarily successful raising money in small donations in 2008. His haul from the Internet — hundreds of millions of dollars — underscored the bottom-up nature of his candidacy.
related update: central bank of libya is 100% state owned from activist post: It's perplexing to see a high level of support for the unprovoked bombing of Libya on so-called "progressive" websites. There has been an endless stream of humanitarian propaganda flowing from these sites trying to convince average liberals that the "human thing to do" is to rain down tomahawk missiles with depleted uranium to bring freedom and democracy to an oppressed people. Huffington Post ran a piece by Ed Schultz titled Why I Support President Obama's Decision to Invade Libya where he described his reasoning as follows:
from ae911truth.org: Atlantic Records rap star Lupe Fiasco calls the collapse of World Trade Center building 7 into question on his new album ‘Lasers,’ released March 8, 2011. In “Words I Never Said,” the new radio single off of ‘Lasers,’ he asks “9/11, building 7: did they really pull it?” (at 0:46) It is one of three songs selected as “singles” by Atlantic to promote the album. Lupe’s third official release—and first in which he specifically questions the government’s version of events on 9/11/01 with reference to ignored evidence - is the Grammy Award winner’s first #1 album in the United States (all genres), with over 200,000 units sold in its opening week... “Words I Never Said” is track #2 on the album... The video will “most likely be the biggest Lupe video to date” and be released before the end of February (in Lupe’s words at 6:04).
The lefty counterpoint to the righty Glenn Beck hijacked Tea Party types. The lefties may be a little more fun but no less propagandizing. It's breaking us down into two groups that oppose each other as if that's all there is.
But most of us don't actually fit into this false duplicity. We're the ones who don't like Stewart and Obama, Beck and Palin. Using conventional terms we as individuals are a mix of conservative, liberal, moderate, radical or what ever you want to call it. Sort of 'mongrels' that don't fit what the media wants us to be.
A real rally for America would be anti-war, anti-imperialism and most definitely anti-criminal government and anti-wall street/banker syndicate. Basically it would be looking for the truth wherever it leads us. We haven't seen much of that in these controlled for TV gatherings.
Rallies have always been used to manipulate the masses. The crowd cheers "hooray for us" and goes home satiated. A lot of good people want to be involved, a lot of good people fall for the deceptions.

from cnn: Noted author and social activist Howard Zinndied of a heart attack Wednesday while traveling, his daughter, Myla Kabat-Zinn, said. Zinn, author of "A People's History of the United States," was 87. Kabat-Zinn said her father, who lived in Auburndale, Massachusetts, died while traveling in Santa Monica, California.
"A People's History of the United States," first published in 1980, tells a history not often in seen in other books - from the perspective of those not in a seat of power.
The book was the inspiration for a 2009 documentary, narrated by Zinn, called "The People Speak." The film highlighted people who spoke up for social change, according to the Web site of the History Channel, which aired the program...
Kabat-Zinn said of her father that he lived a "very full and exciting life" and that there were many social issues that were very important to him. Above all, she said, her father believed that there is no "just war."
Zinn's death on the day of President Obama's first State of the Union address was underscored by his contribution to a recently released special from The Nation magazine called "Obama at One."
"I've been searching hard for a highlight," he wrote. "The only thing that comes close is some of Obama's rhetoric; I don't see any kind of a highlight in his actions and policies."
9/11 drill for simulated plane crash 5min before pentagon attack from history commons: Five minutes before the Pentagon was hit on September 11, 2001, a training exercise being run by a US intelligence agency just over 20 miles from the Pentagon was set to include the scenario of a small private jet plane crashing into a building. It is unclear whether the scenario was played out, or if the exercise had been called off by that time. Important details of the exercise, which was being conducted by the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) at its headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia, are revealed in a document obtained by the 9/11 Commission. The document, titled “Early Morning Flight Activity September 11, 2001,” was part of a series of 9/11 Commission records moved to the US National Archives at the start of this year... The Associated Press has revealed that no real plane was going to be used in the exercise, and the crash was to be the result of mechanical failure, not terrorism.
kurt sonnenfeld, fema videographer on 9/11, blows the whistle from voltairenet: As official videographer for the U.S. government, Kurt Sonnenfeld was detailed to Ground Zero on September 11, 2001, where he spent one month filming 29 tapes: "What I saw at certain moments and in certain places ... is very disturbing!" He never handed them over to the authorities and has been persecuted ever since. Kurt Sonnenfeld lives in exile in Argentina, where he wrote "El Perseguido" (The Persecuted). [Here] is an exclusive interview by The Voltaire Network.
working toward 2013 opening for 9/11 museum from newsday: The worn New York Giants T-shirt and Penn State baseball cap were among the prized possessions of Richard Caproni, a former North Babylon High School football captain known for his fierce team loyalties and booming laugh. Already, they are part of the permanent collection of the National Sept. 11 Memorial and Museum - a gift from his parents. "What we donated were things very dear to Richie," his father, Richard Caproni, 67, a former North Babylon resident, said in a telephone interview from his home in Ocean Pines, Md. "They had significant meaning to us, but we knew it would be better to have it preserved there for eternity." Construction of the museum, as with many elements at the World Trade Center site, is behind schedule. But there has been progress, with officials working toward a 2013 opening. The foundation work has been completed and some of the permanent artifacts - including the Survivors' Stairs and the Last Column recovered from the trade center rubble - were installed at the site in the past nine months.
The nearly two-year probe grew out of a 2007 New Jersey case involving a Luchese faction that ran a staggering $2 billion-a-year gambling operation and supplied drugs and cellphones to Bloods gang members in state prisons. That probe - which netted 32 wiseguys - soon spread across the Hudson River into the family's Big Apple hierarchy, prompting surveillance and wiretapping by the NYPD and Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau's office, the sources said. The probers, who made hundreds of hours of recordings, quickly found mobsters taking bets and conducting loan-sharking operations worth tens of millions of dollars...
from barbara-anne steegmuller.: Superpower is a well-executed and comprehensive film that asks tough questions and goes behind the scenes of America's national security apparatus and military actions. Far from a conspiracy film about the dangers of government secrets and regime change, this well-balanced film straddles the philosophical divide and allows viewers to understand the US quest for global dominance through economic and military strategy that is exposed through review of historical events, personal interviews, and analysis of US foreign policy.
the masonic boston tea party from copycat effect: Today is April 15th, and there will be "tea parties" throughout the USA. Few carrying out these 2009 symbolic acts understand the origins of the Boston Tea Party, which occurred on December 16, 1773. The Masonic background to the Boston Tea Party is part of the twilight history of the nation.
goldman sachs tries to shut down financial blogger from global research: Mike Morgan is a registered investment adviser and a scrappy shoot-from-the-hip guy who doesn't mince his words. Recently Morgan has come under fire from investment giant Goldman Sachs for his hard-hitting web site "Facts about Goldman Sachs". According to the U.K. Telegraph: "Goldman Sachs is attempting to shut down a dissident blogger who is extremely critical of the investment bank, its board members and its practices. The bank has instructed Wall Street law firm Chadbourne & Parke to pursue blogger Mike Morgan, warning him in a recent cease-and-desist letter that he may face legal action if he does not close down his website. According to Chadbourne & Parke's letter, dated April 8, the bank is rattled because the site "violates several of Goldman Sachs' intellectual property rights" and also "implies a relationship" with the bank itself. Unsurprisingly for a man who has conjoined the bank's name with the Number of the Beast – although he jokingly points out that 666 was also the S&P500's bear-market bottom – Mr Morgan is unlikely to go down without a fight. He claims he has followed all legal requirements to own and operate the website – and that the header of the site clearly states that the content has not been approved by the bank. On a special section of his blog entitled "Goldman Sachs vs Mike Morgan" he predicts that the fight will probably end up in court. "It's just another example of how a bully like Goldman Sachs tries to throw their weight around," he writes."
lehman sits on bomb of uranium cake as prices slump from bloomberg: Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. is sitting on enough uranium cake to make a nuclear bomb as it waits for prices of the commodity to rebound, according to traders and nuclear experts. The bankrupt bank, in the throes of paying off creditors, acquired uranium cake “under a matured commodities contract” and plans to sell it when the market improves “to realize the best prices,” Chief Executive Officer Bryan Marsal said. Lehman, once the fourth-largest investment bank, has an estimated $200 billion in unsecured liabilities left to pay. The uranium, which may be as much as 500,000 pounds, might fetch $20 million at today’s prices of about $40.50 per pound, said traders who asked not to be named because of the confidential nature of the data. Marsal said the traders’ estimate of Lehman’s uranium holding is “reasonable,” while declining to be more specific. Uranium has dropped for five straight months from $55 a pound on Dec. 1 on concerns that countries including China and India would delay nuclear power projects because of the global economic crisis, and because Lehman might dump its radioactive material on the market, the traders said. More than 43 million pounds of uranium-oxide concentrate, or yellowcake equivalent sold on the spot market last year, more than doubling the 2007 trading volume, according to Roswell, Georgia-based Ux Consulting Co.
cia/cnn talk show host tom braden dead at 92 from cnn: Tom Braden, the creator and co-host of CNN's "Crossfire," which pioneered the talk-show format that pitted a conservative against a liberal, died Friday at age 92. Daughter Susan Braden said he died of natural causes at his home in Denver, Colorado. In 1982, Braden took "Crossfire" to CNN from a local station in Washington and served as the program's host "from the left" until 1989. "Many people believe that Tom created the genre of political talk shows and debate programs that has now been copied and copied and copied," said Sam Feist, CNN's political director and senior executive producer of political programming...
embedded tv messages brought to you by the bill gates foundation? from inspired economist: The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has developed a well-deserved reputation for funding innovative programs revolutionizing solutions for social issues. Navigating a path that only for-profit businesses dare venture down, the Gates Foundation funds a wide range of ground-breaking programs that challenge traditional peer-approved thinking on vaccines, agro-farming and many other treatment oriented-solutions. Yesterday, however, a New York Times article yesterday covered yet another strategy that they are pursuing, collaborative message placement in mainstream television programming. These are not your average PSA’s (public-service-announcements) donated by networks but rather longer-term initiatives that strive to create plot lines that will help disseminate accurate information on topics that are widely misunderstood. The objective is to use entertainment content as a vehicle for educating mainstream audiences on topics such as HIV/AIDS and education in the hopes of influencing public views and behaviors.
nytimes threatens to shut down boston globe from dpa: The New York Times Co has threatened to shut down the Boston Globe unless the Globe's unions agree to 20 million dollars in cost-cutting measures, it was reported Saturday. The demands were made during a 90-minute meeting between Times and Globe executives and the newspaper's 13 unions, the Globe reported. The concessions include pay cuts, terminating the company's pension contributions and eliminating lifetime job guarantees, according to Daniel Totten, president of the Boston Newspaper Guild - the Globe's biggest union. The Globe, which began publishing in 1872, was sold to the New York Times Co in 1993.
