from cnn: Newly released documents have reignited the debate in Washington over whether Obama administration officials granted too much access to filmmakers making a movie about the raid that killed Osama bin Laden -- and whether national security was compromised in the process. The documents show, for example, that a defense official offered the filmmakers access to a planner from SEAL Team Six, the super-secret special ops division that successfully executed the high-stakes raid in Pakistan last year. It is not clear if any such access eventually took place. But according to a transcript from the meeting, on July 14 of last year, Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence Michael Vickers told screenwriter Mark Boal and director Kathryn Bigelow that the defense department would offer up a plum interview. "They'll make a guy available who was involved from the beginning as a planner; a SEAL Team 6 Operator and Commander," Vickers said, according to the transcript. The name of that man is blacked out in the transcript that was released, and Vickers tells the filmmakers not to reveal the man's identity.

from ap: U.S. authorities declined to pursue a case against an "al-Qaida sympathizer" accused of plotting to bomb police stations and post offices in the New York area because they believed he was mentally unstable and incapable of pulling it off, two law enforcement officials said Monday. New York Police Department investigators sought to get the FBI involved at least twice as their undercover investigation of Jose Pimentel unfolded, the officials said. Both times, the FBI concluded that he wasn't a serious threat, they said. The FBI concluded that the 27-year-old Pimentel "didn't have the predisposition or the ability to do anything on his own," one of the officials said.

Those who cling to the official story of 9/11 because it affirms their sense of purpose in the world would have the rest of us believe that questioning the official story is a dishonor to those who died, and an offense to their families.

This could not be further from the truth, for the pursuit of truth always has been and always will be led by those who lost their loved ones on September 11, 2001.

It was the 9/11 families whose relentless campaigning led to the formation of the 9/11 Commission. It was their leadership that established the moral framework for millions of concerned citizens to join the pursuit of truth. It is their perseverance, despite the passage of time, that continues to inspire millions to fight.

On the 10th Anniversary of September 11, 2001, let us remember that the most meaningful way to honor those who died is to continue to fight for the truth.

We thank you for standing with NYC CAN and with the 9/11 family members, first responders and survivors NYC CAN represents.

from cnn: The mastermind of the worst terrorist attack on American soil is dead, U.S. President Barack Obama announced late Sunday night, almost 10 years after the attacks that killed almost 3,000 people. Osama bin Laden -- the longtime leader of al Qaeda -- was killed by U.S. forces in a mansion outside the Pakistani capital of Islamabad along with other family members, a senior U.S. official told CNN. In an address to the nation late Sunday night, Obama called bin Laden's death "the most significant achievement to date in our nation's effort to defeat al Qaeda."

letters claim al-CIAda has nukes hidden across america

from the intel hub: 25 letters that claim nuclear bombs are hidden throughout the United States have been sent to multiple investigators and citizens in the Chicago area. The letter inside said, “The Al-Qaeda organization has planted 160 nuclear bombs throughout the U.S. in schools, stadiums, churches, stores, financial institutions and government buildings.” It also said, “This is a suicide mission for us,” reported CBS Chicago.

While this news may be startling to many, it is no surprise to those in the alternative media. The idea of nukes in the United States has run rampant for years, with many believing rogue elements of our government will actually use these nukes within the United States to create enough chaos to initiate a world government. In 2002 the right wing news organization World Net Daily reported that Bin Laden had snuck over 20 suitcase nukes into the United States... This report was one of the first out of a long line of fear mongering reports that have been used to plant the idea of Al Qaeda nuking us into the mind of everyday American citizens. Most remember the “missing nukes” report that broke in 2007... The story was first reported by the Military Times, after military servicemen leaked the story...

The fact that the Pentagon and the CIA run Al Qaeda, have dined with top “terrorist” Anwar al-Awlaki, and openly fund Al Qaeda seems to be unimportant to the corporate controlled media. This isn’t a realistic option yet reports like this are used to trick ignorant Americans into hating Muslims even more. This also gives elements of our government the ability to say, “told you so” if or when a nuke detonates in an American city.

from activist post: It's perplexing to see a high level of support for the unprovoked bombing of Libya on so-called "progressive" websites. There has been an endless stream of humanitarian propaganda flowing from these sites trying to convince average liberals that the "human thing to do" is to rain down tomahawk missiles with depleted uranium to bring freedom and democracy to an oppressed people. Huffington Post ran a piece by Ed Schultz titled Why I Support President Obama's Decision to Invade Libya where he described his reasoning as follows:

from allgov: Classified a “diplomat” by the Obama administration until Monday [feb21], the man arrested in Pakistan for killing two men in Lahore has turned out to be employed by the CIA.After conducting interviews in the U.S. and Pakistan, the British newspaper The Guardian concluded that Raymond Davis was a former Army Special Forces soldier now employed by the CIA. One senior Pakistani intelligence official was quoted as saying, “It’s beyond a shadow of a doubt” that Davis was working for the spy agency at the time he gunned down two Pakistanis. Davis has been charged with murder by Pakistani police. He shot the two men allegedly for trying to rob him while he was driving through Lahore. Local authorities say the American was found to be carrying a Glock handgun, a flashlight attached to a headband, a pocket telescope, three cell phones, facial disguises and multiple ID cards. He is reported to have worked for years for as a mercenary for the CIA, including as a period with Xe, the private security contractor formerly known as Blackwater... Many Pakistanis have been enraged by the news of an armed American gunning down local citizens.
