kent state tape recording reveals gunshots by fbi informant

revelations prompt congressional inquiry
from ap: A tape recording of the 1970 shooting deaths of four Kent State University students by Ohio National Guardsmen reveals the sound of pistol shots 70 seconds earlier, a newspaper reported Friday citing the work of a forensic audio expert.

The finding lends support to a theory that the guardsmen thought they were being shot at during a campus Vietnam War protest. Witnesses said at the time that an FBI informant monitoring the protest fired warning shots because he felt threatened.

The National Guard opened fire on student protesters on May 4, 1970, killing four and injuring nine others. Eight guardsmen were acquitted of federal civil rights charges four years later. Many believe the events contributed to the change in the public's attitude toward the war, which ended five years later.

The reel-to-reel audio recording was made by a Kent State student who placed a microphone at a windowsill in his dormitory, which overlooked the antiwar rally. He later turned the tape over to the FBI. A copy eventually wound up in a Yale University archive.

That's where Alan Canfora, a protester wounded by the Guard gunfire, found it in 2007.

Forensic audio expert Stuart Allen conducted an extensive review of the recording at the request of Cleveland's Plain Dealer newspaper, and he detected four shots matching the acoustic signature of a .38-caliber revolver firing.

Terry Norman, a Kent State student photographing protesters that day for the FBI, was carrying a loaded .38-caliber revolver under his coat, the newspaper said.

district 9: sci-fi film with sophisticated nwo propaganda

from rogue government: The sophistication of New World Order propaganda originating from Hollywood is reaching an insane level. Proof of this can be seen with the new release of the Peter Jackson produced and Neill Blomkamp directed science fiction film District 9. I had the opportunity to see this film over the weekend and was blown away with the multiple layers of mind control programming that is included in this movie. Anyone who has researched anything to do with the New World Order should immediately go see this film and analyze it. We live in a world in which everything is backwards. The corporate controlled media conceals the truth where as Hollywood works of fiction usually end up revealing it. This is definitely true for District 9 as this film is obviously meant to condition the viewing audience to accept current realities and even future realities that the global controllers are preparing. The film also fictionalizes many real life truths which is very interesting in its own right...

Despite all of the propaganda in District 9, I have to admit that the film is very well done and entertaining, but obviously contains all sorts of references and themes to things that are actually happening or that the global elite are preparing to do to human populations. The only difference is that the film depicts the global elite through this fictional multi-national corporation doing these things to aliens. A well done film, but it contains some of the most slickly crafted New World Order propaganda ever put in a Hollywood movie.

from lexisnexis: The Iowa Air National Guard and various active duty units will participate in a joint training event, Badger Denial, August 10-September 4 in Des Moines, Iowa and northwest Iowa. The Air Guard's participation in the Global War on Terror requires joint reconnaissance and combat support missions. These types of missions, and certain Close Air Support operations, require lower altitudes not currently available in Military Operating Areas (MOAs).

from chicago tribune: National Guardsmen from Iowa are trying to fix an Army helicopter that landed in a western Kentucky soybean field after problems arose with its hydraulic system. Chief Warrant Officer Nick Von Muenster of the Iowa National Guard told The Gleaner of Henderson that the Chinook was headed to Fort Campbell, where the crew of five were supposed to train. Iowa National Guard public affairs officer Maj. Mike Wunn said the crew decided to land Sunday afternoon so they didn't risk more problems with the helicopter. Another Chinook landed in the Henderson County field Monday with guardsmen and parts to fix the first helicopter. Land owner David Alexander said losing some of his soybeans is "worth the excitement."

The Department of Defense holds a get-together every two years called Sustaining Military Readiness Conference. The Pentagon uses the sessions to try to forge partnerships with people, organizations and governments that neighbor military installations. The idea: Military readiness depends as much on its ability to train its troops and effectively run its bases as it does on the number of troops and the amount of hardware. The last conference was in Orlando. The latest one is in Phoenix. It kicks off today and runs through Friday at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel.

The drill will take place in the eastern Mediterranean and will be hosted by Turkey. In the exercise, dubbed Reliant Mermaid X, the three navies will rehearse naval rescue missions and work to improve their level of coordination. Reliant Mermaid X will include search and rescue simulations, quick response to naval emergencies, humanitarian aid in real time and evacuation of 'wounded' personnel from the waters. Eight ships, four helicopters and three search and rescue aircraft from the three countries will participate in the drill. The Israel Navy will be represented by the Lahav and Sufa warships as well as a navy helicopter.

Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas (R), chairman of the National Governors Association, and Vice Chairman Gov. Joe Manchin (D) of West Virginia penned a letter opposing the Pentagon proposal, which they said would hinder a state's effort to respond to a disaster. Current law gives governors control over National Guard forces in their own states as well as any Guard units and Defense Department personnel imported from other states. The letter comes as the Pentagon proposes a legislative fix that would give the secretary of Defense the authority to assist in response to domestic disasters and, consequently, control over units stationed in an affected state.

from computer weekly: The prospective national ID card was broken and cloned in 12 minutes, the Daily Mail revealed this morning. The newspaper hired computer expert Adam Laurie to test the security that protects the information embedded in the chip on the card. Using a Nokia mobile phone and a laptop computer, Laurie was able to copy the data on a card that is being issued to foreign nationals in minutes. He then created a cloned card, and with help from another technology expert, changed all the data on the new card. This included the physical details of the bearer, name, fingerprints and other information. He then rewrote data on the card, reversing the bearer's status from "not entitled to benefits" to "entitled to benefits". He then added fresh content that would be visible to any police officer or security official who scanned the card, saying, "I am a terrorist - shoot on sight." According to the paper, Home Office officials said the foreign nationals card uses the same technology as the UK citizens card that will be issued from 2012. Guy Herbert, general secretary of privacy lobby group NO2ID, said it was a mistake to assume that the Home Office cared about the card, or identity theft or citizens' benefit. He said the Home Office wanted the central database to record citizens' personal details in one place for official convenience. "It is that database which will deliver unprecedented power over our lives to Whitehall and make the Home Office king in Whitehall. The card is an excuse to build the database. If the card is cancelled it already intends to use passports as a secondary excuse," he said. Home Office officials said they were working on a response to the story, and would issue a statement later today.

With murders among feuding Mexican drug cartels on the rise and demand for cocaine and other drugs north of the border, Calderon said the United States should take a hard look at itself before pointing the finger at anyone else. "The main cause of the problems associated with organized crime is having the world's biggest consumer next to us," Calderon told AFP in an interview Wednesday. "Drug trafficking in the United States is fueled by the phenomenon of corruption on the part of the American authorities," he said, calling on U.S. President Barack Obama to step up the fight against drugs in his own country. Calderon admitted some Mexican officials had helped cartels, but urged the United States to consider how many of its officials have been implicated.

from paul joseph watson: Authorities in Barrie, Ontario are considering a proposal to allow troops to patrol bar areas on weekends in a supposed attempt to prevent rowdiness, another example of the militarization of law enforcement and the public being conditioned to accept martial law. “City police and Camp Borden officers are discussing using joint street patrols to help keep the peace in Barrie’s busy entertainment district on peak weekends,” reports the Toronto Star, as part of a move to “cement the base’s partnership with Barrie police” (police and military merging into one enforcement unit). “Teaming up with military police to patrol the bar zone is a concept 'we wouldn’t have any real problems with,' Barrie chief Wayne Frechette said in an interview. 'Would extra bodies help us? Sure.'”

from rogue government: There is no doubt that the government is preparing a nationwide system of detention facilities under the guise of emergency management that could be used to house large quantities of Americans during a time of civil strife. Many think that it is a conspiracy theory, but it is not. It is a fact that the federal government has many facilities right now that can be used to house large numbers of political dissidents if the need arises. During World War II, the U.S. government through an executive order by FDR forced many Japanese-Americans to move into internment camps. In 2006, George W. Bush signed legislation to preserve these camps. Why would he do this unless there was a chance that they would be used in the future? In addition, KBR the engineering and construction arm of Halliburton was recently awarded a $385 million contract to build detention facilities under the guise that they would be used to house illegal immigrants. This news broke at a time in which outrage against illegal immigration was at an all-time high and covered extensively in the media which in essence made the announcement less controversial. There is also a great deal of anecdotal and video reports of detention facilities in many areas around the nation that have been posted on the Internet by concerned citizens. With all of this in mind, it is additionally disturbing that institutions like the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Northern Command have been incrementally moving this country into a militarized police state through a wide variety of initiatives and programs. With the economy unraveling on a day to day basis the possibility of civil strife becomes greater and greater and the possibility of the establishment needing these types of facilities continually increases.

Last week we were the first to break news of legislation proposed in Congress by Representative Alcee Hastings (D-FL) that would legalize and authorize the construction of National Emergency Centers on open and closed military bases which would be run by the Federal Emergency Management Agency otherwise known as FEMA. It is already confirmed that infrastructure which could possibly be used in this capacity is already available to the U.S. government. So for all intents and purposes this bill will essentially provide the legal capacity for them to use already existing facilities as emergency centers. It also provides the government the authority to create additional facilities on closed and open military reservations so long as a minimum of 6 emergency centers are built to fulfill the needs of the FEMA regions designated in the bill. The language in the bill also authorizes the Secretary of Homeland Security to use these facilities for whatever purpose that the Secretary believes is necessary. So if the Secretary wanted to use them as concentration camps, death camps or torture facilities, the language in the bill authorizes that activity.

from paul joseph watson: A large church organization has refused to divulge how many of its pastors are on the FEMA payroll, after a member expressed concerns about religious leaders being used to condition their congregation to accept the declaration of martial law. In a May 2006 story we first broke the shocking news that FEMA was training pastors and other religious representatives to become secret police enforcers who teach their congregations to “obey the government” in preparation for a declaration of martial law, property and firearm seizures, and forced relocation. Despite debunkers and urban myth websites claiming the story was a hoax, it was confirmed in triplicate by mainstream news outlets over a year later. A KSLA news report confirmed that Clergy Response Teams are being trained by the federal government to “quell dissent” and pacify citizens to obey the government in the event of a declaration of martial law. Concerned about such developments, a member of the California-based Worldwide Church of God, an organization that boasts 64,000 members in 860 congregations in about 90 countries, asked if any of the church’s pastors were involved in the FEMA program. “The head office quickly replied hastily within an hour by telling me, “Sorry, that is privileged information”, the man states. “The reply was in big bold script like I’ve never seen before in emails. I was also a bit put off by the word “privileged. I responded to the stated email and reworded my request slightly by demanding, 'are there ANY of our pastors on the payroll of FEMA , YES or NO.' Their first response came after about an hour. But, it has been almost 24 hours and I am still waiting for my church’s second response to my second request,” he adds.

from rogue government: A new bill proposed in the U.S. House of Representatives seeks to take federal control over the security of College and University campuses across the nation. House Resolution 748 or the CAMPUS Safety Act of 2009 would provide grants to institutions of higher education and other nonprofit organizations to assist in carrying out a myriad of functions pertaining to standardizing campus security across the country. This is yet another attempt by the federal government to centralize even more control over any sort of local or community agency pertaining to campus public safety and law enforcement.

from usatoday: Criminal gangs in the USA have swelled to an estimated 1 million members responsible for up to 80% of crimes in communities across the nation, according to a gang threat assessment compiled by federal officials. The major findings in a report by the Justice Department's National Gang Intelligence Center, which has not been publicly released, conclude gangs are the "primary retail-level distributors of most illicit drugs" and several are "capable" of competing with major U.S.-based Mexican drug-trafficking organizations. "A rising number of U.S.-based gangs are seemingly intent on developing working relationships" with U.S. and foreign drug-trafficking organizations and other criminal groups to "gain direct access to foreign sources of illicit drugs," the report concludes. The gang population estimate is up 200,000 since 2005. Bruce Ferrell, chairman of the Midwest Gang Investigators Association, whose group monitors gang activity in 10 states, says the number of gang members may be even higher than the report's estimate.
