op-ed: upcoming police exercise is unsettling from augusta chronicle: There will be a government exercise conducted July 27-31. It is called National Level Exercise '09, or NLE '09. Although the focus of this exercise is on terrorism, it will not be focused on bearded men from the Middle East. The focus will be on internal threats: Americans. If this seems a bit absurd to the reader, let me expound on it.
The Pentagon, in their own documents, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Virginia State Police, in their own documents, have labeled Americans as possible terrorist threats. These people are known as Christians, pro-life activists, gun-rights advocates, homeschoolers, Ron Paul supporters, 9/11 truth activists, tea party demonstrators, etc. If this is hard to believe, one need only to type "Missouri Information Analysis Center" in a search engine to learn more.
The aforementioned exercise will focus on terrorism prevention. This exercise will be a multinational, multi-agency effort. The Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, state, county, local and tribal agencies will focus on intelligence- and information-gathering.
When all the documentation suggests that hard-working, honest citizens who believe in God, life and liberty are terrorists, then this country is in danger. The focus of the exercise is unsettling. 2 shot, 1 killed by gunman at arkansas military recruitment center from foxnews: A gunman opened fire Monday at an army recruitment center in Little Rock, Ark., killing one army recruiter and seriously wounding another, FOX16.com reported. A man in a black SUV drove to the recruitment office and began shooting at around 10:19 a.m., a spokesman with the Little Rock police department told FOX News. The suspect, who immediately fled the scene, was later apprehended approximately four miles from the center with an assault rifle in his vehicle.

3 wounded after gunman fires shots into greyhound bus from foxnews: A gunman fired shots into a Greyhound bus in Cleveland Monday, wounding three passengers, FOX8.com reported. The gunman reportedly opened fire at approximately 3:00 a.m. Monday in downtown Cleveland. The bus driver told police he heard a smashing sound before passengers began screaming, according to the station. Greyhound spokeswoman Abby Wambaugh told FOX8.com that the bus — which was en route to New York from Chicago — had 26 passengers on board. The bus was making a stop in Cleveland when it was struck by bullets, Wambaugh told the station. One passenger reportedly sustained an injury to his left ear, but none were seriously wounded.

It is designated as a Tier I National Level Exercise, or TOPOFF, which are exercises conducted annually in accordance with the National Exercise Program (NEP), “which serves as the nation’s overarching exercise program for planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating national level exercises,” according to FEMA. NLE 09 “will focus on intelligence and information sharing among intelligence and law enforcement communities, and between international, federal, regional, state, tribal, local and private sector participants” in the “aftermath of a notional terrorist event outside of the United States.” So-called “exercise play” will concentrate on “preventing subsequent efforts by the terrorists to enter the United States and carry out additional attacks... military may patrol bar zone in canadian city from paul joseph watson: Authorities in Barrie, Ontario are considering a proposal to allow troops to patrol bar areas on weekends in a supposed attempt to prevent rowdiness, another example of the militarization of law enforcement and the public being conditioned to accept martial law. “City police and Camp Borden officers are discussing using joint street patrols to help keep the peace in Barrie’s busy entertainment district on peak weekends,” reports the Toronto Star, as part of a move to “cement the base’s partnership with Barrie police” (police and military merging into one enforcement unit). “Teaming up with military police to patrol the bar zone is a concept 'we wouldn’t have any real problems with,' Barrie chief Wayne Frechette said in an interview. 'Would extra bodies help us? Sure.'”

An agreement signed Tuesday obligates Wal-Mart to interview and consider all qualified, participating soldiers for employment after they complete military occupational specialty training.
Lt. Gen. Jack C. Stultz, chief of the Army Reserve, was in Bentonville for the Veterans Day signing of the agreement.
When a reserve soldier who works at Wal-Mart is called to service, the company can draw on 1 million or so citizen soldiers to help identify a qualified replacement to work in the soldier's place. The arrangement is expected to lower costs of recruiting and training for Wal-Mart.
The Army Reserve launched the program in April and has already linked with numerous companies, including Lowell-based J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc., Sears Holding Corp., Manpower Inc. and Northrop Grumman Corp., among others.
The program also helps the Army find trained professionals.
Law enforcement officials were searching for evidence that minors had been videotaped performing sexual activities or had been molested. The Federal Bureau of Investigation searched Alamo's property for child pornography. Alamo, who claims he is legally blind and wouldn't be able to see child pornography, preaches that girls should marry young and sex with post-puberty girls is 'okay' because "in the Bible it happened".
Gwatney's Arkansas delegation was known to be a hotbed of anti-Obama sentiment, and was reportedly ready to walk out of the Denver convention if Senator Clinton were not to be treated fairly by the Howard Dean/Donna Brazile DNC leadership.
Observers in Washington are now asking whether the assassination of Gwatney can be read as attempted intimidation of the anti-Obama forces which are now gaining strength before the Denver convention.
