Lovitz, Carvey Lament Lack of Comedians Targeting Obama
from brasschecktv.com: Comedians Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey shared a moment commiserating the roadblocks in place when attempting make jokes about or at the expense of President Barack Obama. Lovitz, who was filling in as host of Dennis Miller's radio show, asked Carvey what his thoughts were concerning that idea that certain groups - GLAAD being an example he gave - go after comics for their material by attempting to argue about what, exactly, constitutes as a "joke."
"Well, I think it's scary and dangerous," said Carvey. "I think free speech is probably the coolest thing we have in this country and, again, you can label it hate speech and dismiss it, and then you're allowed to censor it." Later, Carvey said he realizes there was a certain level of "sensitivity," as he described it, surrounding Barack Obama given that he is the country's first black president, but that "over time it becomes kind of knee-jerk and patronizing not to satirize the President."
Lovitz then asked Carvey what he thinks about the argument that SNL - their former stomping ground - doesn't make fun of Obama, and, what's more, will only make fun of Republican politicians. Carvey responded by saying that, in his own experience, he's had success with Obama jokes when he's been able to find a particularly funny angle to use as a platform, much like with his widely-known "not gonna do it… wouldn't be prudent" George H.W. Bush catchphrase. But when SNL attempted to poke fun at Obama in New York, the joke "bombed." He seemed to be saying that the problem was not the joke or its subject so much as the context and the audience present.

But his most important and controversial posts were in government. To some surprise, the newly elected Reagan chose Haig as secretary of state – and within barely two months the country's top diplomat uttered the ill-considered words that would bedevil him ever after.
Hours after the near-successful assassination attempt on Mr Reagan on 30 March 1981, Haig went into the White House briefing room to tell reporters: "I'm in control here." The remark appeared to betray an ignorance of the constitution: as well as the vice-president, the speaker and the senior member of the Senate also rank ahead of the secretary of state in the line of succession if the president is incapacitated.
More important, it seemed to confirm the square-jawed and forthright Haig as a power-crazed general. "It was reminiscent of Dr Strangelove," Richard Darman, Reagan's deputy chief of staff, would later write. "Haig intended to calm the nation. He unnerved the world." ...
In fact, Haig's most vital service to his country had come a decade earlier. He had already earned Richard Nixon's confidence during a two-year stint as deputy national security adviser under Henry Kissinger when Nixon made him White House chief of staff in May 1973, just as Watergate began to engulf the presidency.
As the crisis moved to its climax, Haig played a crucial role as a channel between the president and Congress. He gently persuaded Nixon to resign once impeachment proceedings had become a certainty. With a skill belied by his later gaffes, he handled the delicate negotiations for the transfer of power from Nixon to Gerald Ford.
Haig remained at the White House only a few weeks after Nixon stepped down on 9 August 1974. It was widely believed, though never confirmed, that he had brokered a secret deal for Nixon to resign in return for a guarantee from Ford of a pardon – a pardon that would be granted on 8 September 1974.

mysterious bush-bush-obama meeting at oval office
from trail blazers blog: President Barack Obama hosted a pair of Bushes this morning in the Oval Office: former President George H.W. Bush and his son, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. Two weeks ago, Jeb's brother, former President George W. Bush, was at the White House talking about Haiti relief with Obama and ex-President Bill Clinton.The White House described it as a social call, but feel free to speculate. Jeb Bush's presence was unexpected - the White House hadn't said anything about him being invited. It's all very... bipartisan. The Bushes were at the White House for just over a half-hour, emerging in a driving snow that over the next few hours will blanket the capital with several inches of fluff.
"Good meeting, good meeting," the elder Bush, 85 and walking with a cane, said in response to a question called out by a reporter. Bush the elder hosted Obama at Texas A&M a few months back, at an event celebrating community service/volunteerism and marking the 20th anniversary of his Points of Light project.

The main actors in America's "humanitarian operation" are the Department of Defense, the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). geronimo's kin still suing skull & bones over remains
from ap: Geronimo's descendants have sued Skull and Bones — the secret society at Yale University linked to presidents and other powerful figures — claiming that its members stole the remains of the legendary Apache leader decades ago and have kept them ever since. The federal lawsuit filed in Washington on Tuesday — the 100th anniversary of Geronimo's death — also names the university and the federal government.Geronimo's great-grandson Harlyn Geronimo said his family believes Skull and Bones members took some of the remains in 1918 from a burial plot in Fort Sill, Okla., to keep in its New Haven clubhouse, a crypt. The alleged graverobbing is a longstanding legend that gained some validity in recent years with the discovery of a letter from a club member that described the theft. "I believe strongly from my heart that his spirit was never released," Harlyn Geronimo said.
Both Presidents Bush, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry and many others in powerful government and industry positions are members of the society, which is not affiliated with the university. After years of famously fighting the U.S. and Mexican armies, Geronimo and 35 warriors surrendered to Gen. Nelson A. Miles near the Arizona-New Mexico border in 1886. Geronimo was eventually sent to Fort Sill and died at the Army outpost of pneumonia in 1909.
According to lore, members of Skull and Bones — including former President George W. Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush — dug up his grave when a group of Army volunteers from Yale were stationed at the fort during World War I, taking his skull and some of his bones. Harlyn Geronimo, 61, wants those remains and any held by the federal government turned over to the family so they can be reburied near the Indian leader's birthplace in southern New Mexico's Gila Wilderness.Their lawsuit also names President Barack Obama, Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Army Secretary Pete Geren as defendants. "I want them to understand we mean business," said Harlyn Geronimo, who lives in New Mexico. "We're very serious. We're tired of waiting and we're coming after them."
Neither members of Skull and Bones, who closely guard their secrecy, nor the Russell Trust Association, the organization's business arm for tax purposes, could not be reached for comment.

Despite the revelations from these men, it has continually been dismissed as conspiracy theory by the corporate controlled mockingbird media. In fact Kissinger, the former Secretary of State under Richard Nixon, spoke yet again about a New World Order during a CNBC interview and recently wrote an opinion editorial published in the International Herald Tribune entitled “The Chance for a New World Order”. If the New World Order is a conspiracy theory, why is it that prominent individuals amongst the U.S. and European political elite continue to talk about it?

"On the one hand, if you are looking to pick a nation's top spook, it is generally a good idea to pick someone with more than a cursory exposure to the intelligence business. Gupta was not only chosen for his “broadcasting skills,” but also because he is a trusted insider. Not surprisingly, Gupta is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Part of Gupta’s “public message” is that thermersol and its mercury-based preservative has nothing to do with autism. In 2007, Gupta went on CNN to state there appears to be no relationship between thimerosal and autism (see video).
Gupta does not mention a study published in the March 10, 2006, issue of American Physicians and Surgeons that reveals that since mercury was removed from childhood vaccines, the alarming increase in reported rates of autism and other neurological disorders in children dropped sharply. Independent researchers used the government’s own databases on childhood neurological disorders, including autism, before and after removal of mercury-based preservatives.
Mr. Gupta appears to be part of an effort to deny there is an epidemic and try to hide the data from public scrutiny, while at the same time secretly putting in an addendum in to the Homeland Security Act specifically to prevent parents from suing vaccines companies for vaccine damage (see the Autism Mercury Link page on the Autism Couch web page).
Sanjay Gupta, as a member of the CFR and the Mockingbird corporate media, is part of the ongoing eugenics vaccination effort, thus his appointment as surgeon general makes perfect sense.
In addition, he was a White House Fellow in 1997 and served as special advisor to then-first lady Hillary Clinton. “We are told that the pitch to him has been that health care reform will be a top priority, that wellness, fitness, obesity, the issues he has focused on often here at CNN, will be a top priority,” reports John King.
