abortion doctor george tiller gunned down at kansas church
...continuing the return to the days of clinton-era homegrown terrors & heartland errors...
from dpa: A Kansas physician at the center of the US controversy over abortion was shot to death Sunday morning as he walked into church services in the town of Wichita. George Tiller, 67, one of the country's few physicians who performed late-term abortions, had survived a previous attack in 1993. Police said they had detained a possible suspect found driving a car that met the description of the one that raced away after the shooting at the Reformation Lutheran Church in the town of 380,000 people, according to the Kansas City Star newspaper online. The attack came about 10 am, after services had begun. Tiller's murder brought an outpouring of condemnation from both sides of the heated abortion debate. Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, said Tiller's murder sent 'a chill down the spines of the brave and courageous providers and other professionals who are part of reproductive-health centers that serve women across this country.' Tiller's clinic had been targeted by bombs, shootings and vandalism over the years. Kansas is a stronghold of the anti-abortion movement from which groups of activists fan out across the country to protest.
again, as i have stated many times before: when obama gets into office, we'll switch back to the days of waco's, mcveigh's & the false left/right paradigm of abortion, gay marriage & guns...
obama puts spotlight on murder of abortion doctor
from dpa: US President Barack Obama condemned the murder of an abortion doctor who was shot down inside a Wichita, Kansas, church early Sunday, throwing the national spotlight on the decades-old bitter struggle over the issue... Obama, a centre-left Democrat who supports access to legal abortion, took the unusual step of commenting on the killing. Earlier this month, he signaled his willingness to grapple with the issue in a graduation speech at a Catholic university and appealed for both sides to work together to help women facing unplanned pregnancies. Obama said he was 'shocked and outraged' by Tiller's murder. 'However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence,' the president said in a statement.

envirohealth: food supplies, new eugenics & more gore
confidence erodes in US food supply
from star tribune: The conclusions of a pioneering survey from the University of Minnesota's Food Industry Center and Louisiana State University's AgCenter should come as a surprise to no one. The deadly salmonella outbreak tied to peanut butter made at a filthy Georgia processing plant has caused consumer confidence in the food supply to plummet. Just one in five Americans now believe the food supply is safer than it was a year ago, according to findings from the latest Continuous Consumer Food Safety/Defense Tracking Study... Consumer confidence dipped last year with the outbreak of salmonella first linked to tomatoes but later tied to peppers. Confidence rebounded, the CFST found, only to nosedive to a new low with the peanut butter salmonella outbreak that has sickened at least 500 and killed eight people, three of whom were Minnesotans. The findings should give the industry some food for thought. It's hard evidence that the peanut butter outbreak isn't simply the problem of one Georgia company. It has damaged the reputation of the entire food industry. Action is needed, lest the precipitous drop in peanut butter sales plague other products.
pope warns of proliferation of 'new eugenics'
from lifesitenews: In an address last Saturday to participants in a conference sponsored by the Pontifical Academy for Life, Pope Benedict XVI warned of the rise of a "new eugenics" that judges the worth of an individual based on his or her genetic makeup, as expressed in factors such as health and beauty. Despite the fact that a condemnation of imposed eugenics was enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, "there are appearing in our days troubling manifestations of this hateful practice," observed the pope to participants in the conference, entitled 'New Frontiers of Genetics and the Danger of Eugenics.' "A new mentality is insinuating itself that tends to justify a different consideration of life and personal dignity based on individual desire and individual rights... There is thus a tendency to privilege the capacities for work, efficiency, perfection and physical beauty to the detriment of other dimensions of existence that are not held to be valuable."
gore pulls 'inconvenient' slide of disaster trends
from nytimes: Former Vice President Al Gore is pulling a dramatic slide from his ever-evolving global warming presentation. When Mr. Gore addressed a packed, cheering hall at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Chicago earlier this month, his climate slide show contained a startling graph showing a ceiling-high spike in disasters in recent years. The data came from the Center for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters (also called CRED) at the Catholic University of Louvain in Brussels. The graph, which was added to his talk last year, came just after a sequence of images of people from Iowa to South Australia struggling with drought, wildfire, flooding and other weather-related calamities. Mr. Gore described the pattern as a manifestation of human-driven climate change. “This is creating weather-related disasters that are completely unprecedented,” he said. (The preceding link is to a video clip of that portion of the talk; go to 7th minute.) Now Mr. Gore is dropping the graph, his office said today. Here’s why. Two days after the talk, Mr. Gore was sharply criticized for using the data to make a point about global warming by Roger A. Pielke, Jr., a political scientist focused on disaster trends and climate policy at the University of Colorado. Mr. Pielke noted that the Center for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters stressed in reports that a host of factors unrelated to climate caused the enormous rise in reported disasters... Dr. Pielke quoted the Belgian center: “Indeed, justifying the upward trend in hydro-meteorological disaster occurrence and impacts essentially through climate change would be misleading. Climate change is probably an actor in this increase but not the major one - even if its impact on the figures will likely become more evident in the future.”

eugenics: paid sterilization, stopes stamps & sanger
louisiana legislator proposes paid sterilization for poor women
from thinkprogress: Louisiana State Rep. John LaBruzzo (R) recently stirred controversy by advocating a form of eugenics to decrease the number of poor. “I realized that all these people were in Louisiana’s care and what a massive financial responsibility that is to the state,” he said. “I said, ‘I wonder if it might be a good idea to pay some of these people to get sterilized.’” His plan would also give tax incentives to the rich to encourage procreation. Appearing on CNN today, LaBruzzo defended his proposal by arguing that “the taxpayers of America are kind of getting fed up” with supporting welfare programs. He cited the “totally reliant” residents who relied on government evacuations during Hurricane Katrina. When CNN’s Kyra Phillips asked why he couldn’t invest in education and poverty-reduction programs, LaBruzzo faulted the media for focusing too much attention on his eugenics program.
But this week, LaBruzzo explicitly ruled out more common sense solutions. “LaBruzzo said other, mainstream strategies for attacking poverty, such as education reforms and programs informing people about family planning issues, have repeatedly failed to solve the problem,” the Times-Picayune reported. LaBruzzo seems to be dead serious about implementing the plan. He “gathering statistics” now and is planning to introduce legislation “if he finds that the number of people on welfare has increased” over the past decades.

magazine promotes sterilization for women in their 20’s
from paul joseph watson: A popular women’s magazine in the UK recently featured an article entitled, Young, Single and Sterilized, in which women in their 20’s discussed why they had undergone an operation to prevent them from ever having children. The article is little more than PR for a “women’s charity” called Marie Stopes International, an organization that carries out abortions and sterilizations and was founded by a Nazi eugenicist who advocated compulsory sterilization of non-whites and “those of bad character”. The story appears in a weekly magazine called Love It (click for PDF enlargement). One of the women featured in the article, Chloe, explains why she decided to have herself sterilized at the age of just 20.
33 disturbing but true facts about eugenics
planned parenthood accused of 'genocide' on blacks since 1921
from memphis rap: A "genocide on the black community," is what a group of African-American pastors is saying about The Planned Parenthood Federation of America. According to the pastors and other activists, the birth control center and abortion provider has had a racist agenda since its beginnings in 1921. "Every day … over 1,500 black babies are murdered inside the black woman’s womb," said Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, of Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny (BOND) and, according to Peterson, there "is a race issue." The group held a press conference in front of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Washington, D.C. and stated that they are angry at results of recent "undercover" inquiries into several Planned Parenthood clinics across the country.

british govt chooses hitler-loving abortion movt pioneer for stamps
from lifesite: Marie Stopes, the notorious early 20th century contraception campaigner, eugenicist and anti-Semite, did for Britain what Margaret Sanger did for the US: preached the doctrines of eugenics and promoted contraception and sterilisation to achieve "racial hygiene." So successful was she at altering British society in favour of her eugenics doctrines, the British government has chosen her to be included in a "Women of Distinction" line of stamps. The Royal Mail announced this weekend that the face of Marie Stopes, who advocated the sterilisation of poor women to promote the "welfare of the race", will feature on the 50p stamp. The stamps will be available beginning 14 October 2008. Columnist Gerald Warner wrote on his weblog at the Daily Telegraph, "Considering the hysteria nowadays attaching to issues of race, at first sight it seems extraordinary that Stopes should have earned commemoration on a stamp. To the [politically correct] establishment, however, even racist peccadilloes can be ignored to honour a pioneer who helped promote the anti-life culture and relieve women of the intolerable trauma of giving birth to a child with a cleft palate."

youtube blocks videos exposing planned parenthood's support for race-selective abortion
from lifesite: A YouTube video that revealed Planned Parenthood's support for race-selective abortion was first audio-censored and has just recently been removed completely from Youtube for a supposed 'terms of use violation.' Lila Rose, president of Live Action, UCLA's campus pro-life group and editor of The Advocate, a pro-life student magazine, says that the recording is only one of many scenarios where different Planned Parenthood (PP) branch representatives blatantly supported race-selective abortion in phone calls with individuals posing as white racists. Rose reported that Youtube also blocked four previous videos uploaded by members of Live Action and will not respond to any of their inquiries. "It is discriminatory for YouTube to selectively censor material that clearly does not contain inappropriate content," stated Live Action President Lila Rose in a press release. "We will continue to apply pressure on YouTube until it restores the videos."
major anti-immigrant figure can't pretend he's not a racist anymore
planned parenthood's dirty little secrets
from daily campus: Planned Parenthood, an organization that claims to promote women's health and well-being, has a deeply stained history of racism, hatred and lies. Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, summed up the purpose of her organization with this statement: "More children from the fit, less from the unfit." It sounds like something out of Nazi Germany, like eugenics or creating a master race. Sanger founded the American Birth Control League in 1923, which later became the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc. She was a passionate advocate for eugenics, a movement that essentially tried to wipe out any human being deemed genetically "unfit." Another well-known fan of eugenics? Adolf Hitler.

'logan's run' revisited
from eursoc: A duty to die? Remember the old sci-fi movie Logan's Run? A few centuries from now, population growth puts so much pressure on the world's resources, it is decided that the young should lead sybaritic lifestyles while the old - that it, anyone over 30 - are killed off to prevent them taking up space. It could well be a parable for our times. It takes two centuries plus countless catastrophes for the Logan's Run dystopia to be created, but the idea that those who are a drain on resources should be eliminated would have to gain respectable currency somewhere along the way. Who better then to speak the unspeakable than 84 year old Baroness Warnock, who has argued that euthanasia should not only be legal but that the elderly and infirm should be pressed towards death. Baroness Warnock speaks as one of Britain's most respected and best-connected authorities on health and ethics. She is described by the Daily Telegraph as Britain's leading moral philosopher, and in the 1980s sat on a committee which advised on embryo research.

She is described by the Daily Telegraph as Britain's leading moral philosopher, and in the 1980s sat on a committee which advised on embryo research.judge says: don't get pregnant; lapsed law sees new life

from ronpaul2008.com: Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul has unveiled a comprehensive economic revitalization package. The four-pronged plan is designed to stem the current economic slide and address the unsound governmental policies that are harming Americans’ pocketbooks. “Real economic reform must address the underlying reasons for the current economic malaise,” said Ron Paul. “This plan is more than just a band-aid for our economy; it fundamentally reforms four areas where government policies are damaging our national economy. When enacted, my plan will provide both short-term stimulus, and lay the groundwork for long-term prosperity.” The comprehensive economic revitalization plan is available online at: http://www.RonPaul2008.com/Prosperity.

abortion opponent 'roe' from roe v. wade endorses paul
from abc: It's not as well-known as his anti-war stance, but Ron Paul - an OB-GYN by trade - is also pro-life. This is a fact he has highlighted in Republican early primaries as he has tried to sell his libertarian, anti-establishment ethos to the Republican rank and file. He will get a boost at an event in Washington tomorrow when the "Roe" in the Roe v. Wade 1973 court case, Norma McCorvey, endorses his bid for the presidency.

for ron paul, illinois holds key to his electoral fortunes
from medill reports: Pundits, politicos and other candidates alike think Paul, a self-described libertarian, is a long shot for president and a kook to boot... Paul’s loyal supporters have overlooked the bad press and are working to capitalize on the “change” groundswell in Illinois and other Feb. 5 states. And Cesarone is counting on undecided Illinois Republicans to give Paul a real chance. “Most Illinois Republicans are still undecided, and we think we are still viable here,” Cesarone said, “We think we’ve still got a chance.”

consider ron paul
from chattanoogan: I do not write this by candlelight to pretend the year is 1776, but rather as an attempt to draw on the mood of our founding fathers as I consider the current state of affairs. This letter goes out to each person who is greatly concerned with the direction our great country is going.

false gods create false hope
from people's voice: When people rally behind false change agents something worse than being disappointed and having their hopes killed happens: the national energy for real change is wasted. In the end, false change agents protect the status quo political establishment. Hope is replaced by despair for disaffected anti-establishment masses. The worst false change agent is Ron Paul.

china bans crude birth control slogans
from ap: China's top family planning agency has cracked down on crude and insensitive slogans used by rural authorities to enforce the country's strict population limits, state media said Sunday.
Slogans such as 'Raise fewer babies but more piggies,' and 'One more baby means one more tomb,' have been forbidden and a list of 190 acceptable slogans issued by the National Population and Family Planning Commission, the official Xinhua News Agency reported.
Such slogans are often found painted on roadside buildings in rural areas.
karzai sees no gains in bin laden hunt
from ap: In the hunt for Osama bin Laden, the United States and its allies have essentially gotten nowhere lately, Karzai said.
"We are not closer, we are not further away from it," Karzai said in an interview with CNN's "Late Edition," which aired Sunday. "We are where we were a few years ago."
Karzai ruled out that bin Laden was in Afghanistan, but otherwise said he didn't know where the leader of the al-Qaida terror network was likely to be hiding.
Bin Laden, the mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, is believed to be living in the tribal border region of Pakistan. His ability to avoid capture remains a major source of frustration for U.S.-led forces and a political sore spot for Bush.
colbert 'hopes to join' illuminati depopulation plan
from jones report: Stephen Colbert made heavy reference to the Illuminati and their plan to depopulate the world, noting that he too can make strange hand signs and wants to be recruited... Colbert brings up the Illuminati in conjunction with Benjamin Fulford, a former Forbes magazine writer, who alleges that the Illuminati network seeks to use race-specific biological weapons to decrease Asian populations to 500,000,000...
Fulford gave an exclusive six hour interview to the Jeff Rense Show on the subject, which can be found here.

aborted babies could be defending our country
from raw story: Zell Miller, the former Democratic Senator from Georgia who backed President George W. Bush in 2004 and spoke at the Republican National Convention, recently told an anti-abortion gathering that the "killing" of unborn babies was the cause of many of America's woes, including its military, social security, and immigration problems."How could this great land of plenty produce too few people in the last 30 years?" Miller asked. "Here is the brutal truth that no one dares to mention: We’re too few because too many of our babies have been killed."
Miller claimed that 45 million babies have been 'killed' since the Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade in 1973.
"If those 45 million children had lived, today they would be defending our country, they would be filling our jobs, they would be paying into Social Security," he asserted.
Miller was speaking at a fund raiser for Sav a Life Center of Macon, Georgia, an organization which tries to persuade women not to have abortions.
