staged disaster drill helps officials find weaknesses

staged disaster drill helps officials find weaknessesfrom your4state: More than 10 response teams from Washington and Franklin County rushed to the scene after a staged 9-1-1 call that reported two gunmen had opened fire both inside the airport and on the runway. The drill took more than six months to plan, and in an hour and 18 minutes, it was over. Organizers said the biggest weakness was communication between units, but they say an upcoming multi-million dollar update to the county communications system will make a world of difference. Organizers said the disaster training tests are staged every three years.
