from allgov: Warlocks, the jamming technology used by the U.S. military to thwart roadside bombs in Afghanistan, fell into the hands of the Taliban more than two years ago, according to an Army intelligence document obtained by WikiLeaks. The equipment may have been subsequently shipped to Iran where researchers tried to figure out how Warlocks works by using reverse engineering.
Warlocks is designed to scramble signals such as those sent from cell phones to detonate improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which have been a leading cause of death and injuries for American soldiers.

In bizarre scenes, airport security officers carried the woman away by the feet and arms. She was later allowed to leave without charge. Brenda Lee, a writer for the Georgia Informer in Macon, is a "Roman Catholic priestess" and was carrying a letter she had written opposing gay marriage. She had White House press credentials, The Associated Press reported. Lee said later in a phone interview with The Associated Press that she asked a Secret Service agent to give the President her letter, but he refused and referred her to a White House staffer. Lee said she refused to give the staffer the letter and protested when she was asked to leave. "I said, 'I'm not leaving,'" she said. "They tried to drag me out." Two officers then picked her up and carried her out. "I was afraid you could see under my clothes," she said.

from oregonian: Portland Mayor Sam Adams is expected to make his first public statement today in response to news reports that he had a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old in summer 2005 and, on the eve of his campaign for the city's highest office, lied about it and urged the young man to lie as well. Wade Nkrumah, the mayor's spokesman, said Adams plans to issue a public apology at 1:30 p.m. today in the Rose Room at Portland City Hall. Adams said Monday that he made a mistake in not admitting the relationship when reporters first asked about it in September 2007. He did not describe the relationship itself as a mistake. "I should have been honest about what happened, but I was not," he told The Oregonian from Washington, D.C., where he is attending a national mayors conference and the presidential inauguration. "I apologize."
update1: adams stays home as support crumbles from oregonian: Mayor Sam Adams holed up in his North Portland house Wednesday, making phone calls and apologizing, but every sign - from eroding support among gay and lesbian leaders to the deafening silence from Adams' political mentors to his own tone of voice -- signaled resignation. "I've been involved in Oregon politics for a long time, and I obviously understand people's anger and frustration," Adams said Wednesday. His somber tone was striking in contrast to the firm determination to stay in office he expressed earlier this week... On Wednesday, The Oregonian, the Portland Tribune, the Portland Business Journal and Just Out, a Portland-based news magazine covering gays and lesbians, all called for his resignation. That last publication may not be a household name to many Oregonians, but its condemnation is a particularly bitter and significant blow for Adams, the first openly gay mayor of a top-40 U.S. city.
officials call off controversial autism study from reuters: Health officials have called off plans for a study examining a controversial type of treatment that some autism activists have touted as alternative medical therapy for children with the condition. The National Institute of Mental Health, or NIMH, part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health, said in a statement on Wednesday that it has canceled a study aimed at assessing the effectiveness of a treatment called chelation. Chelation (pronounced key-LAY-shun) is a type of therapy in which a man-made amino acid, called EDTA, is added to the blood, and it has been used to treat heavy metal poisoning. Some autism activists have advocated it on the theory - rejected by most scientists - that autism is triggered by exposure to mercury, a heavy metal, from childhood vaccines.
study finds no autism link in vaccine from washington post: A common vaccine given to children to protect them against measles, mumps and rubella is not linked to autism, a study published yesterday concludes. The findings contradict earlier research that had fueled fears of a possible link between childhood vaccinations and a steep increase in autism diagnoses. In February 1998, the Lancet journal published a study by British researcher Andrew Wakefield of 12 children with autism and other behavioral problems that suggested the onset of their behavioral abnormalities was linked to receiving the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine. The new study comes as the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in Washington is in the midst of evaluating evidence on whether children's vaccines are implicated in causing autism. A special master is evaluating three different kinds of claims - two of which specifically link the MMR vaccine with autism.
from steve watson: Immigrants seeking permanent legal residency in the U.S. are now mandated to take an expensive and controversial vaccine that has been linked with thousands of serious complaints and several deaths. The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine — known as Gardasil — is one of five the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services recently added to the required list, reports Fox 8 News. A press release from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Agency confirms that the requirements for the vaccine went into effect on July 1, 2008. The regulation represents a total dismissal of the recommendation of Dr. Jon Abramson, chairman of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s advisory committee on immunization practices. In February 2007, Abramson said that he and the 15-member panel at the CDC opposed making Gardasil mandatory because the sexually transmitted HPV is not a contagious disease like measles or chicken pox. At $162 per dose, the three-dose vaccine is set to make millions in profits for Gardasil manufacturer Merck, a company that has a history of both lobbying intensely for state mandates and entering into crony deals to hoodwink Americans into believing HPV vaccinations are compulsory.
drugs affect more drinking water from ap: Testing prompted by an Associated Press story that revealed trace amounts of pharmaceuticals in drinking water supplies has shown that more Americans are affected by the problem than previously thought — at least 46 million. That's up from 41 million people reported by the AP in March as part of an investigation into the presence of pharmaceuticals in the nation's waterways. The AP stories prompted federal and local legislative hearings, brought about calls for mandatory testing and disclosure, and led officials in at least 27 additional metropolitan areas to analyze their drinking water. Positive tests were reported in 17 cases, including Reno, Nev., Savannah, Ga., Colorado Springs, Colo., and Huntsville, Ala. Results are pending in three others.
pot kills superbugs from parallel normal: Several compounds in cannabis are known to kill bacteria. Now Italian scientists believe pot can take on today’s superbugs. Anti-bacterial cannabinoids might also “provide a more environmentally-friendly alternative to synthetic antibacterial substances now widely used in personal care items, including soaps and cosmetics,” according to an announcement from the American Chemical Society. The ACS also suggests that marijuana-derived meds can be made without THC, pot’s primary psychoactive substance.

Heads of the project have set themselves a goal of 'creating primary classrooms where queer sexualities are affirmed and celebrated'. Corsi revealed on the Alex Jones radio show today, U.S. central banks may have less than half the gold they claim to possess in their vaults, according to watchdog group that will publish an ad in the Wall Street Journal later this week. “As WND reported, the Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee, or GATA, claims the Federal Reserve and the U.S. Treasury are surreptitiously manipulating the country’s gold reserves by participating in undisclosed leases, according to an advance copy WND obtained of the ad running in Thursday’s edition of the Journal,” writes Corsi. “GATA believes much of the borrowed gold out on lease will never be returned to the central banks.”

Frank is also an openly gay Member of Congress.

Last year, Republican Rep. Mark Foley was investigated by the FBI after he sent sexually suggestive emails to boys working as congressional pages. Larry Craig, albeit on a lesser scale, has now been exposed as a pervert and the media treadmill continues to afford this individual case blanket coverage - a deluge of attention not received by the thousands of missing children and victimized young men who were and continue to be the victims of gargantuan forced child prostitution rings that operate to service political, corporate and media elites all across the globe.
from prison planet: A new piece of legislation set to be re-introduced in Congress by the Democrats under the guise of anti-bullying would reprimand schoolchildren for verbal criticism of their peers in any context, including sexual orientation, religion or simply expression of an opposing idea. The bill echoes federal hate crime legislation about to be debated as Congress enters its first session tomorrow.
The bill outlines a $300 million dollar federal program to target bullies who harass other kids about their sexual orientation, gender identity or religion.
However, the language of the legislation is so loosely defined that it could punish kids for simply verbally disagreeing with another student about so-called "alternative lifestyles."
The bill defines harassment as, "conduct, including verbal conduct, that creates, or would create, a hostile environment by substantially interfering with a student's educational benefits, opportunities, or performance, or with a student's physical or psychological well-being."
Harassment would be taken to include, "any distinguishing characteristic of an individual, including actual or perceived race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity or expression, family composition or circumstance, or economic circumstance."
Targeting young children for the words they say and the behavior they exhibit is a reflection of a control freak society gone overboard. In a recent article we highlighted several cases where kindergarten kids as young as five were having sexual harassment "offences" placed on file for pinching another child's bottom.
How toddlers and extremely young children can engage in "sexual harassment" when they don't even know what sex is nor have any sexual feelings matters not to County officials across the country who are following these nightmare socialist style policies by the book.
All of these measures are aimed at getting kids in the system from a very early age and training them that obedient docility is the only conduct that will be tolerated. Perfect automatons for the state who will grow up to accept the mandate that all free speech is offensive to somebody and should therefore be highly regulated.
The anti-bullying legislation dovetails a similarly reinvigorated federal hate crimes law that according to commentators could lead "directly to an end of free speech."
"The Local Law Enforcement Enhancement Act" criminalizes any public criticism of homosexuality, transvestites, witches pedophiles, satanists and others who lead self-professed alternative lifestyles, defining any disagreement and debate with these groups as "hate crime." The bill also classifies "sexist words" used by men during intercourse as "rape," and greases the skids for the criminalizing criticism of the Jewish political lobby in Washington - along with a whole raft of other twilight zone regulations.
Decrees of political correctness and the doctrines of liberal mind control have swamped Europe to the point where Christian ministers are being arrested for reading Bible passages. It is also an illegal offence in Britain to criticize homosexuality.
In November 2002 BBC presenter Robin Page was arrested for saying in a speech a month earlier that the farming community should have the same rights as Muslims, homosexuals and vegetarians. Police traveled from 200 miles away to question Page, before detaining him in a prison cell with dried feces on the wall and later charging him with incitement to racial hatred - simply for stating farmers should have the same rights!
In 2001, Gloucestershire Police set up 'Operation Napkin' in which senior police officers were sent to 'ethnic restaurants' to eat four-course dinners and at the same time listen out for "racist hate speech." Arrests were made as a result of the program.
Just last month a 14-year-old school girl was arrested in Manchester for making a "racist comment," after she refused to work with a group of Asians during a science tutorial because none of them spoke English.
Reports of "hate crime raids" where PC subversives are rounded up like terrorists by police are commonplace.
