okok, without any backup-strategy [anyway, what are military-grade computer doing in the WWW?!?!?!], they don't deserve anything else than being completely infested by this conficker-virus [could talon-robots get the disease, too???]. but: do you remember the story 6 weeks ago of those british nuclear submarines now running windows 2000/xp...let's call it a big joke...who knows, perhaps WW3 will start that way, by "accident"...
cheers alex
one more thing, there we have it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conficker
"The U.K. Ministry of Defence reported that some of its major systems and desktops are infected. The worm has spread across administrative offices, NavyStar/N* desktops aboard various Royal Navy warships and Royal Navy submarines, and Hospitals across the city of Sheffield reported infection of over 800 computers."
***ROYAL NAVY SUBMARINES***
no more comments ;-)

p.s. britain has the atomic bomb...aboard submarines [!] - now, does iran have microsoft xp & atomic bombs aboard submarines...I don't think so...
yo james, sry but this never-ending-story does not stop, not only that there is no further support 4 windows xp/2000 concerning security-patches...NOW, those submarines [one fench, one british] collided in the atlantic ocean...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7892294.stm
!?!?!??!?!?
that's more "lucky" than winning a jackpot:
"The Ministry of Defence needs to explain how it is possible for a submarine carrying weapons of mass destruction to collide with another submarine carrying weapons of mass destruction in the middle of the world's second-largest ocean"
...
"The collision of two submarines, both with nuclear reactors and nuclear weapons onboard, could have released vast amounts of radiation and scattered scores of nuclear warheads across the seabed."
to be honest, I don't eat this story, but it fits so nicely in the conficker-scheme [the word conficker is a german word-creation, meaning 'configuration-fucker']...now there's the result - who knows!?!
cheers alex
