the headless hitler at a german wax museum


from sympatico: A man has torn the head of Adolf Hitler off a wax statue of the German dictator on the opening day of a new Madame Tussauds museum in Berlin. The 41-year-old German, reportedly only the second customer through the turnstiles on Saturday, pushed aside two security guards who had been posted to protect the exhibit.

"Then he went over to the figure and ripped off the head," said a police spokesperson. The incident happened only a few minutes after the museum opened to the public. Police arrested the man, who did not resist. They are investigating him for assault and damaging property.
