white house dismisses third-term talk

from fox news: A third term for President Bush? No thanks, his staff says.

"Believe me, I think staff thinks that two are plenty,"White House deputy press secretary Dana Perino said Wednesday, suggesting people are being worn out by the demands of the job.

Even Bush seemed taken aback when a supporter, Rockey Vaccarella, said he wished the president could have another term.

"Wait a minute,"the president interrupted.

Even if he wanted another term, Bush would be barred by the 22nd Amendment of the Constitution which says no person can be elected president more than twice.
