video: the dangers of 'continuity of government'

from consortium news: The U.S. government has committed a full Army brigade to deal with a national catastrophe or to quell internal unrest. This extraordinary commitment of troops for domestic operations is a result of President George W. Bush's continuity of government” directive, which also allows the President to coordinate all three branches of government in the event of a declared crisis. According to former Reagan administration legal official Bruce Fein, these powers represent a threat to America’s constitutional system and traditional liberties.
