small west virginia town installs spy camerasfrom ap: Digital surveillance cameras are being installed in downtown Bluefield, West Virginia, to fight crime.

Bluefield Police Chief Joe Wilson
says two cameras are operational and three more are planned.

Wilson says the cameras will help any investigation of criminal activity in the downtown area. They also could help investigations of traffic accidents.

The city paid for the cameras with grant funds and money raised by the Downtown Merchants Association.
